Shop plans for the Year

I have been a bit lax with my shop updates this past year. Mea Culpa. Right now the latest Easter Show projects have made their way into the shop and I'm now recovering from the rush to get everything ready for the Bendigo competition. In general, all my competition entries end up in the shop. One of the other reasons its been a bit quiet is I've been working on expanding my capabilities so I can get fun fibre stuff out a bit faster while I continue to work on my big projects. This will take a while to get off the ground as I balance my health with work. While I'm not actively taking commissions, if there is something you really have your heart set on, I will do my best to accommodate you.

2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show

With the show now complete, the items that were in the show are now up on my shop site for sale. I'm already thinking of my 2027 entries!

2026 Sheep and Wool Show Bendigo

This was my first year entering the Bendigo competition and though I could not attend in person, I did send along three entries all of which did better than I could ever have hoped. What is particularly lovely about this competition is that the judges give you a score card and some comments with how to improve. I really value getting constructive criticism about my work from people that are experienced in their crafts as its always just so insightful and helpful for me. I will absolutely be entering again next year!

First Place 2026 Royal Sydney Easter Show Arts and Crafts Competition,

First Place 2026 Australian Sheep & Wool Show Woolcraft Competition

This piece is a multi-blend piece containing luxury yarns such as Camel-silk, Kid-silk and Mulberry silk. There is also an embroidery and bead motif across the piece depicting golden dawn light shining through dew on a tree branch. All the colours in the piece are custom blended and hand dyed by me. It is available for purchase in my shop.

Highly Commended 2026 Royal Sydney Easter Show Arts and Crafts Competition.

This scarf is a twill variation woven with Cashmerino lace yarn. The warp colour is hand dyed with a dye blend mixed especially for this piece. It is available for purchase in my shop.

2026 Australian Sheep & Wool Show Gordon Ford Memorial Award for Best Entry Using Superfine Merino Wool,

2026 Australian Sheep & Wool Show Woolcraft Competition Special Prize,

2026 Australian Sheep & Wool Show Wendy Thomas Award for Best Handspun Skein Fine

This spin was prepared from raw naturally coloured superfine Merino fleece and then spun into a fine lace weight yarn. It is designed to be weft for weaving.

Second Place 2026 Australian Sheep & Wool Show Woolcraft Competition

This knit is a stranded colourwork cat. It is entirely hand knit except for the tail which was created using a Lucet.

Second Place 2025 Royal Sydney Easter Show Arts and Crafts Competition.

This piece was designed as a study in leno weaving and other finger-manipulated weaves. It uses 100% Australian Alpaca yarn that was manufactured specially by the phenomenal Adagio Mills for my work. All the colours in the piece are hand dyed. It is available for purchase in my shop.

Second Place 2025 Royal Sydney Easter Show Arts and Crafts Competition.

This spin is a Merino and Silk blend. It was designed to be for cable knitting due to its 3ply structure which holds its shape better when cabling. It is a cable plied spin which means that the natural variation in the blend is preserved more faithfully over the yarn.

Highly Commended 2024 Royal Sydney Easter Show Arts and Crafts Competition

This is another Merino and Silk blend. It was spun entirely on my double drive antique Sheridan saxony wheel. While it is a lace-weight handspun yarn, it is designed to be used for weaving.
