On the Cards for 2026
Shop plans for the Year
I have been a bit lax with my shop updates this past year. Mea Culpa. I shall continue to be a bit lax with updates until the Easter Show is concluded as some of my shop pieces have been entered into the competition. In general, all my competition entries end up in the shop. One of the other reasons its been a bit quiet is I've been working on expanding my capabilities so I can get fun fibre stuff out a bit faster while I continue to work on my big projects. While I'm not actively taking commissions, if there is something you really have your heart set on, I will do my best to accommodate you.
Things I'm hoping to bring to the shop this year:
100% Aussie wool and double layered
Also 100% Aussie wool and double layered.
Prototypes tested and survived in my messy kitchen.
100% hand knit and designed to be one of a kind.
Sold in skeins, not apples.
Yet to tested but promises to be exciting!
Competition plans as of Feb 2026
As is now my usual tradition I'll be entering the Arts and Crafts Competition at the Easter Show. I usually start preparing my entries in about November of the previous year so that it isn't a mad rush to the deadline. Out of the three categories I plan to enter only one needs completion as I write this! You can keep up with the making-of process on my Instagram.
This will be my first year entering the Bendigo competition and I'm super excited to prepare everything for it. The Bendigo competition has a wider selection of categories than the Easter Show, including categories where you must prepare your entry from fleece to yarn or garment. These are the ones I'm most interested in and my project planner is currently exploding with plans for how to somehow manage to do all of them. Again my Instagram is usually a good place to see if I'm succeeding in that or not!
